Marianthi LiapI is a practicing architect since 2003, with a Diploma in Architecture and Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). She received a Master of Science (SMArchS) degree in Design and Computation from MIT, where she studied with a Fulbright scholarship. During 2006-2007 she was a research associate at AUTh investigating urban strategies and digital design tools in contemporary architectural education. Her independent research focuses on the perceptual transformability of spaces, combining her interests in architectural design, spatial cognition, digital media and information-rich environments. In 2002, her team entry received an Honorable Mention award at the ACADIA DDE competition.
Her research has been presented in several international conferences, while her work has been exhibited in various exhibitions, in Greece and abroad. She is co-founder of 124|SKG Architects with Kostis Oungrinis.
