MATTHIAS SCHMIDT
GERMANY
Matthias Schmidt was born in Germany and received his architecture degree from the BAUHAUS UNIVERSITY WEIMAR, in 1995 after studies in Weimar and the Belas Artes, Lisbon.
After establishing the first office P.A.L.O.M.A. Architekten he work together with his partner Antje Osterwold since 1997 and that partnership changed through 2001 as OSTERWOLD°SCHMIDT EXP!ANDER Architekten.
They won numerous prizes in national competitions
including: EXPO 2000 for the habitations in Leinefelde (2000); Deutscher Städtebaupreis (2003), Prizes of public architectural magazines (the best townhouse
2005) , Architektourpreis Thüringen 2007.
