Nicolas Boutet is CEO and Associate of FOUNDATION, a firm specialized in digital data models of buildings, and VBNB, an architectural agency based in Paris. 

He has won numerous awards such as the european Europan 10 and the the Taylor Prize. 

2008 - VBNB. With their creative and technical complementarity, Vincent Barue and Nicolas Boutet have grown over the years to experience the greatest contemporary architects, including Renzo Piano, Massimiliano Fuksas and Christian de Portzamparc. 

In VBNB they work on many large-scale projects such as stadiums of the Euro 2016 football, towers, houses and bridges... 

Vincent Barue and Nicolas Boutet are passionated by new technologies and their implementation at all levels in the construction sector. They spend a lot of developments and investments for several years as a starting point with BIM, Building Information Modeling and Management.

ROAD BRIDGE

Client: CAMY, bd de la Communauté, 75200, Buchelay, France

Visible from a wide area including from the A13 highway, the new bridge plays a dynamic and kinetic role and link between two sectors, a signal indicating the presence of an activities area : Mantes Innovaparc. To strengthen the link between the new areas of activity divided by the railways, the landscape project and the bridge fit together in a double progressive slenderness. Motorists taking the bridge are accompanied throughout their displacement by plant sequences transformed gradually overhead protective structures at the crossing. These structures, of variable height, are made of powder-coated perforated plates attached to the frame with aluminum outer surfaces and colored inside. Is positioned opposite the colored road side, the panel thereby being easily replaceable in case of need. The color contained in these shields is revealed subtly depending on the density of perforation of the panels and then the angle of incidence of the light and view.

As the seasons change the selected plant species tones to bind with the geometry and color shades of the new bridge. In summer, the vegetation has a dominant green color, punctuated with colors and winter branches horned show their colors. The bridge is thus always in harmony with its surrounding environment. The set of modules forming a slender geometry each side of the bridge, in the image of two horizontal vectors extending beyond the item. The boundary between abutments and retaining crossing is then blurred. At night, the bridge is changing. Light tubes within each module reveal their color and create on the entire structure a colorful tablecloth that underscores the curves and support the movement of vehicle headlights. The skin bridge protection dialogue with the city then lit in the background.
