Mathieu Barré was born in France in 1986. He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture in Nantes in 2008, after which he gained experience in diverse offices in France. He co-founded Titan, together with François Guinaudeau and Romain Pradeau after winning the JAPL award for their proposal for passive housing in 2011. His approach mediates between the most intangible ideas to the technically perfect realization. Completed works include the Pavilion for House George Clemenceau, offices for the Research Centre of the University of Nantes and the Town Hall in Chaillé-sous-les-Ormeaux, for which he was recently honoured with the AJAP 2018 award.
