Thomas Faye, f+g architectes, France
After studying architecture and graduating in 2006, Thomas Faye spent almost ten years abroad working for leading design practices, where he gained international experience in a wide range of sectors including sport, cultural, educational, transport, and commercial.
Back in France, he founded f+g architectes in 2018 with Frédéric Grandvaux to develop their passion for both design and construction.
The studio’s interests are not defined by a particular project type, but by an intellectual curiosity, an artistic rigor, and a strong commitment to creating territories, environments, and objects with cultural resonance. Both partners see design as a conversation, a loose exchange of forms and ideas, an open dialogue with our histories and surroundings.
They approach each project from first principles to address the unique situation of every brief and site. Their buildings are known for their highly resolved space planning, optimised daylight and carefully considered palette of materials and details.
They are interested in building relationships that last beyond the life of a single building, designing each project to deliver a memorable and inspirational solution.
