Carlo Ratti
Carlo Ratti Associati

An architect and engineer by training, Professor Carlo Ratti teaches at MIT, where he directs the Senseable City Laboratory, and is a founding partner of the international design and innovation office Carlo Ratti Associati.

A leading voice in the debate on new technologies’ impact on urban life, his work has been exhibited in several venues worldwide, including the Venice Biennale, New York’s MoMA, London’s Science Museum, Barcelona’s Design Museum, and Bi-City Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism.
Three of his projects – the Digital Water Pavilion, the Copenhagen Wheel and Scribit– were hailed by Time Magazine as ‘Best Inventions of the Year.’ He has been included in Wired Magazine’s ‘Smart List: 50 people who will change the world.’ He is currently serving as co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Cities and Urbanization.



Claudio Raviolo
Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel

Claudio Raviolo is an architect and partner of the Milan-based architecture and interior design practice ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel.
After graduating in architecture from the University of Genova, he joined ACPV ARCHITECTS in 2004, becoming a partner in 2012. He has been leading design teams on internationally recognized projects across a range of sectors including mixed-use, workplace, residential, hospitality, infrastructural, and cultural developments.

The most recent projects he has followed as partner-in-charge include Italian energy company Enel’s Center for Culture and Knowledge of Energy Transition (TECCC) in Montalto di Castro (Italy); the “Treasure Garden” and “La Bella Vita” luxury residential towers in Taichung (Taiwan); and the new Milan headquarters and office tower of Italian multi-utility company A2A.

ACPV ARCHITECTS works worldwide, developing complex projects and ranging in various scales of intervention, in synergy with a qualified network of specialists.


Mario Mazzer
Studio Mario Mazzer

Mario Mazzer graduated in 1978 with a degree in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan and in 1979 as an Industrial Designer at the Milan Polytechnic School of Design. Following his studies, he began collaborating with the masters of Italian design, Achille Castiglioni and Marcon Zanuso, and in 1980, he founded Studio Mario Mazzer Architects, which operates in the fields of product design, interior design, architecture, art direction, and strategic consulting.

In architecture he works worldwide developing projects that range from residential, hospitals and private clinics, headquarters, shopping malls, hotels and restaurants, schools, and more.

Mazzer’s works have been exhibited in numerous museums and design exhibitions. In 2004 he was included in MoMA’s “Encyclopedia of Design.” He continues to contribute to the cultural debate on design by speaking at conventions and conferences around the world.

Mario Mazzer has won numerous international awards, both in design and in architecture. His projects have been published in the most recognized and prestigious national and international magazines. Clients include Acerbis, Bonaldo, Cappellini, Flou, Magis, Martex, Minotti Cucine, Poliform, Tronconi, Zanotta.


Piero Lissoni
Lissoni & Partners

For over thirty years, Piero Lissoni has developed projects the world over in the fields of architecture, landscape and interior, as well as in product and graphic design. He is also art director for Alpi, B&B Italia, Boffi, Living Divani, Lema, Lualdi, Porro and Sanlorenzo.

Some of the most important architecture and interior projects deserving mention include: The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Miami Beach (2020), the Grand Park Hotel in Croatia (2019), the restyling of the historic Camparino bar in the Galleria of Milan (2019), The Middle House for the Swire Hotels Group in Shanghai (2018), The Oberoi Al Zorah Beach Resort Ajman in the UAE (2017), the 240-unit condominium Oceana Bal Harbour in Miami (2017), the Casa Fantini hotel on the shores of Lake Orta (2017), the Sanlorenzo yachts SX112 (2020), SX76 (2018) and SX88 (2017), the  Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam (2012), the renovation of the historic Teatro Nazionale in Milan (2009) in addition to the corporate headquarters of Boffi, Cassina, Fantini, Glas Italia, Living Divani and the Sanlorenzo shipyards in La Spezia and Ameglia. Piero Lissoni has received a series of international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award, and the Compasso d'Oro ADI.


Samuele Sordi

Pininfarina of America Corp.

Qualified with a Master of Architecture in 2005 from the Scuola di Architettura of the University of Florence, Samuele has well over a decade and a half of experience in a global setting from project conception to competitions and entrepreneurial experiences across all domains.

His views on creativity and innovation of design, materials, and processes won him collaborations with the likes of Zaha Hadid Architects and Archea Associati. Samuele joined Pininfarina in 2013 where he is currently Creative Director of the firm's stylistic and technological propositions, pushing the boundaries of yesterday's paradigms to embrace new challenges in residential design, public planning, and the redefinition of buildings and their responsiveness to new needs. He liaises with clients worldwide to deliver projects that are boundary-pushing yet timeless.
