Marianna Athanasiadou
Marianna studied architecture in Arizona State University, graduating with the highest GPA in her class (summa cum laude). She received numerous awards at ASU, including a Commendation Letter, the Book of Faculty Award, and Design Excellence Awards. In 2001, she received a Progressive Architecture Citation with the academic team GLUE for the urban redevelopment of Scottsdale Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
She received a Master’s in architecture from Harvard University in 2005 with advanced placement. She was selected for Harvard’s Studio Works Publications and Exhibitions and she was a finalist for the Clifford Wong Prize in Urban Design for her Thesis: “The Reformation of the Olympic Village in Athens”.Marianna has collaborated with world famous architecture offices in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Boston and in Athens.
Through her collaboration with Kokkinou Kourkoulas Architects she received a commendation for Best Completed Work in Greece for the years 2005-2010 and a finalist position at the World Architecture Festival (Best Office Building). Many of her works have been published in international journals (Architecture Magazine, Architectural Record, etc.) and exhibited in museums such as Getty and MoMA.She has received significant awards with her office schema architecture & engineering, such as a Citation from DOMES for best realized work for the years 2011 - 2015.
In 2018 she received the "Europe 40 UNDER 40" architectural award as one of the 40 most promising and emerging young architects under the age of 40 in Europe from The Chicago Athenaeum International Museum and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design & Urban Studies. In 2019 she received a BIGSEE Interior Design Award for the renovation of Harmony Apartment and in 2022 a BIGSEE Architecture Award for One-Facade Building | Calpak New Office Production & Warehouse Building, from the Centre for Creative Economy of Southeast Europe in Ljubljana.
Mathieu Forest
Born in 1978, Mathieu Forest graduated from Marne la Vallée Architecture School in Paris, as a DPLG architect in 2001.
Since 1997, Mathieu Forest has worked in Ateliers Jean Nouvel and became one of the closest collaborators of Jean Nouvel. He participated in many international projects, such as the Copenhagen Concert Hall, Ardmore Towers in Singapore, Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur, the National Art Museum of China, and he led the project of Philharmonic Concert Hall of Paris from the competition phase to delivery.Since 2018, MATHIEU FOREST ARCHITECTE has developed a strong activity, particularly in China.
In 2021, the agency delivered the Ice Cubes cultural center project in Xinxiang, which received numerous international awards. The office has several projects under study or construction: Sunac Zhengzhou Pangzhuang Entertainment Commercial Complex, Wanhua Luxelakes A8 Commercial Bridge, Langjiu Wentiantai Reception Center, Sunac Cultural Tourism City Demonstration Center.
Jerome MIchelangeli
Founder & CEO at michelangeli designJerome Michelangeli is a traveler. An architect and unconditional designer, that advocates in each of his projects an eclecticism and a gentle life that resembles him. In 2007 he founded michelangeli design in Madrid to focus his creative work on unique international projects and new living spaces.He is distinguished at 40 under 40, as one of the 40 European Architects under the age of 40 having an impact on the environment of the future, the city, the places of life and work.
Originally from Corsica and without borders, he designs and builds in association with the greatest including Kevin Roche, Pritzker Prize winner 1992, for the training center of the Santander Financial city.During his former partnership, Jérôme Michelangeli plans several new operations and restructuring in urban areas for major developers and specializes in hotel design. Recently awarded International Architecture Awards 2022 for HELIX Terrazze Santa Giulia Multifamily Housing in Milano.
He has developed various projects for exclusive clients related to brands of reference, Champagne Henri Abelé, Dinh-Van, Marques de Riscal, Rolex, seynu among others have called on the services of michelangeli design as part of their development.
Alcestis Rodi
Dr. Alcestis Rodi is an associate professor at the Department of Architecture, University of Patras. She studied Architecture at the National Technical University, Athens, before completing her Master’s in Architecture in Urban Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
She received her PhD in Engineering from Delft University of Technology. In 2018-9, she was offered an appointment as a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).She practiced architecture and urban design in USA and Greece. She was advisor on urban issues to the Vice President of the Greek Government.
Her current research and recent academic publications focus on urban morphology and contemporary urban concepts.Within this framework she introduced in 2015 the concept of ‘Bricolage Urbanism.’ She has published, among others, the book Modern Architectures in History: Greece (Reaktion Books, 2013) with Alexander Tzonis. She was the editor and a contributor to several collective volumes. Her design and academic work have received international and national awards.
