9-inch Paint Roller Frame with Headlock Technology 2016

HEADLOCK technology is a product platform which solves the main customer frustration encountered when painting with a roller frame; the covers begin to walk off the frame. This issue can lead to surface damage, but leads to routinely stopping work to begin the messy process of repositioning the cover on the frame. For the home improvement enthusiast this is an irritation, and for the professional painter this directly impacts their productivity! HEADLOCK technology introduces a cartridge design that a roller cover can slide over before the cartridge engages a positive lock into an end-cap retained by the frame. Importantly, this prevents the roller cover walking on the frame. It also means a cover change is as simple and unclipping the cartridge so the cover falls away making room for a replacement. Ideal for large projects or working with more than one colour. The technology also benefits the environment as traditional roller frames are made in a way that makes disassembly, and therefore recycling of component parts unrealistic. With HEADLOCK technology, the cartridge element is selectively separated from the frame promoting the recycling of that part. Over the many millions of paint roller frames disposed of around the world each year, this could have a significant positive impact on the environment. HEADLOCK is a registered trademark in GB and other countries. UK patent number 2522126. International patents pending.
