BT Whole Home is a set of innovative Wi-Fi extenders that work together intelligently to give any router the ability to deliver fast Wi-Fi reliably and effortlessly to every corner of the home. Users connect to a single ‘network’ and can then ‘roam’ without losing signal; the self-configuring system automatically switches users from one extender to the other. Device set-up and main user interactions are controlled through an App.  

The product is a commercial success that has met all of Alloy’s main design challenges: 

-It’s a distinctive design that both expresses the functionality and clearly position’s BT Whole Home as ‘new and different’ relative to classic ‘plug-top’ style extenders with less sophisticated technology. 

-Yet the design also retains a minimalist contemporary look that fits seamlessly into any interior, and retains clear ‘family’ identity cues to the rest of the BT device family.  

-The device and app design (both by alloy) combine seamlessly as a single experience. 

-This coordination and the expression of innovative device functionality extends to the Retail Packaging, (also by Alloy).

-The simplicity and integration of the app design gives families the tools to monitor and even pause internet availability as a lifestyle choice.
