Manufacturer: Poon Kei Engineering Co., Hong Kong, P.R.C.

Regarding the universal recycling feature, UniRe® caters the needs and preferences of people with different physical and vision capabilities. The height and positions of the openings for disposal are user-friendly, including suitable for wheelchair users and children. The special designs of individual openings become a kind of standards that the shapes of openings represent different categories of recyclables. The sizes of the openings also give hints (product semantics) to people for disposing recyclables. The raised edges of the openings allow the visually impaired people to easily distinguish the types of bins for different recyclables. The smooth edges and the germ and dirt repellent surface (special metal surface treatment) of the bins are also safe for the visually impaired. Braille and tactile allow are located at the front edge of each bin cover that it is convenient for the visually impaired to read the key information. This design (with special locations well-informed to the NGOs and visually impaired) also assists the visually impaired to have minimal contact with thee areas of the bins.
