Manufacturer: Bonaldo SpA., Villanova di Camposampiero (PD), Italy

Warmth, softness and a sense of protection are the feelings which inspired the Blanket bed designed for Bonaldo by Alessandro Busana.

The components have been inverted and the blanket has been transformed from mere accessory to absolute star. Indeed, a large, soft quilt makes up the base of this bed, supporting the mattress and, at the head of the bed, it has been folded over and then rolled up at the top end to form the headrest.

"The bed is an object with which we interact for a prolonged period of time and with our whole body"- explains the designer Alessandro Busana.

"Making it comfortable not only materially but also in terms of perception appeared to me to be an excellent starting point. Hence the choice of a blanket, owing to everything it represents in the collective imagination".

The almost archetypal nature of this concept makes Blanket an iconographic bed that immediately stands out, one that is capable of playing the starring role and rousing emotions through a simple yet extraordinary rolled up blanket.
