Background of the design:

Nowadays，people have higher and higher requirements for entertainment, especially mobile games, but there is no small sized high-performance tablet designed for gaming users on the market. the designers want to design a tablet can be easily put in the pocket, so the Legion Y700 comes in handy. In order to bring users better gaming experience, the design of the second generation Y700, the designers have optimized the type-c interface to improve the experience of charging scenarios. And the designers reduced the weight of the tablet to improve the holding experience. At the same time, the designers increased the refresh rate of the screen and the smoothness of animation to give users a better visual experience.

Process and achievement of design:

Y700 use the hardcore family design language of the LEGION ，with a simple and tough style. The exquisite high-gloss edge enhances the metal texture of the whole machine, the black front shell is integrated with the screen, reducing the visual thickness, and the aluminum alloy sandblasted back cover enhances the sense of touch. Compared with the first generation, the second-generation Y700 has reduced weight and thickness, bringing users a better experience.

Improved features, difference between the competitors or similar products:

Different from the other tablets on the market, Y700 has 2 type-c ports, which greatly facilitates the usage scenario of charging during games.

Y700 process has changed from the first generation of CNC to metal stamping, which reduces weight and saves costs.

The battery cover has been changed from PMMA to metal, which improves the holding feeling.

The thickness of the whole machine is reduced from 7.9mm to 7.6mm, and adds a front housing, which is thinner and more comfortable to hold.

The refresh rate of the screen has increased from 120Hz in the first generation to 144Hz in this generation.
