The public parking lots serve as open parking spaces, aiming to offer convenient parking solutions for residents. These lots are managed by parking booths, where attendants oversee vehicle activities and collect parking fees.

The significance of these booths extends beyond mere functionality, as they contribute to the safety of vehicles parked in roadside spaces and shape the initial impressions of city visitors. However, existing parking booths face challenges such as unattractive appearance, user inconvenience, and safety concerns.

To enhance user experience and deliver quality public services, a redesign of parking booths is imperative. The redesign process incorporated feedback gathered through user interviews and surveys, leading to five key improvements. Firstly, the application of glass serves to enhance sun protection and privacy. Secondly, historical, and cultural elements from Gangdong-gu, such as prehistoric comb patterns and light-emitting sheets, were integrated to enhance visibility during both day and night.

Thirdly, the inclusion of a storage box for cleaning tools and a cover for the air conditioner outdoor unit minimizes interference with the city's aesthetic appeal. Fourthly, interior space optimization was achieved through the incorporation of integrated furniture within the booth.

Lastly, improvements were made to signage to enhance cognitive recognition and readability. These enhancements collectively contribute to the safety, convenience, and overall quality of the public parking booth services.
