Mohawk Group is proud to present their forthcoming Fractal Fluency collection, an extension of the groundbreaking concepts of the Relaxing Floors collection. Mohawk Group, 13&9 Design, and Dr. Richard Taylor, Head of the Physics Department at the University of Oregon and Fractals Research, leveraged the successful development of their Relaxing Floors collection to deliver the new Fractal Fluency flooring system.
This collection delivers a geometric abstraction of natural fractal environments, such as tree branches and stone landscapes. The design concept is based on the “fractal fluency” model, which declares that human vision has become fluent in the visual language of nature’s fractals and can process their features efficiently, creating an aesthetic experience accompanied by a decrease in the observer’s physiological stress-levels.
These new carpet planks are offered in two styles, eight distinct colorways and when utilized, create more inspiring and relaxing environments in which the designers live and work. With Mohawk Group’s new EcoFlex ONE backing, Fractal Fluency is Living Product certified, NSF 140 Platinum, and has low embodied carbon for a net-positive impact.
This collection embodies Mohawk’s sustainability efforts and supports a more equitable future for all. In keeping with their commitment to Believe in Better, Mohawk Group crafted this collection with Duracolor® Tricor Fiber, delivering unsurpassed stain resistance, colorfastness, durability, color clarity and enhanced soil performance.
