The National Museum of Korean Literature is a representative literature museum that compiles all Korean literature from oral literature to modern literature.
Since literature is a form of art based on language, the design of the National Museum of Korean Literature MI also uses characters as a tool for expressing language.
The symbol of the National Museum of Korean Literature represents ‘ㅁ’, the initial consonant in Korean for ‘literature’, and ‘ㅁ’, also resembles a square, it represents the ‘base’ of literature, resembles the shape of a ‘book’ that contains literature, and represents a ‘window’ that illuminates future literature.
MI color conveys oriental sensibility by expressing the black color of ‘Meok (Korean Ink)’ used in calligraphy in the past.
