The E3A Healthcare YSJ-20 Neonatal Jaundice Bilirubin meter is a first-in-class smart, compact, accurate, and cost-effective device for continuous neonatal jaundice monitoring. Through our patented optoelectronic sensor technology, the designers bring disruptive improvements in neonatal jaundice testing accuracy and cost efficiency, reducing the costs of the key component by 150 times compared to existing products.

Through the absolute cost advantage, the designers seek to revolutionize neonatal jaundice management and significantly enhance the accessibility of neonatal jaundice monitoring, especially in developing economics where there has been a lack of such services, causing delays in treatment and serious health consequences. This product has obtained a Class II Medical Device registration certificate from NMPA (Chinese FDA) and the registration with the US FDA is set to completed by the end of 2022.

This product is currently distributed in Asian and African markets. “The introduction of affordable and easy-to-use devices for measuring bilirubin is imminent, as they are essential tools required for neonatal health treatment and the prevention of neonatal deaths, especially in low- and middle-income countries.” The YSJ-20 Neonatal Jaundice Bilirubin meter is approved by the National Medical Products Association of China (NMPA) and is currently in the process of obtaining clearance from the US FDA. The product is manufactured at E3A Healthcare’s ISO-13485 compliant manufacturing facility.

With a simple integrated design and software connectivity, the YSJ-20 is created to cater to a zero-learning curve for the user to minimize the amount of training required for effective operation, allowing for easier product adoption in the global markets. Furthermore, with a ultra-portable design the designers enable the flexibility to use in multiple environments. The YSJ-20 delivers industry standard accuracy for non- invasive bilirubin measurements, the same accuracy as bilirubin meters from GE and Drager that are considered to be the best non-invasive bilirubin meters in the market.
