Many people go missing every year. According to Child Find of America, 2,300 children are reported missing every day in the U.S. A large percentage of missing persons are children who have been kidnapped. After 48 hours, the chance of finding a missing person drops to 10%. Each hour becomes critical, and the widest notification of citizens and the search for witnesses play a key role. Currently, notification takes hours if the search is a priority and days if it is not.

FindMe is an alert system designed to assist with initial efforts to find missing people. FindMe helps to inform people not only in a particular district or city but throughout the entire state and reduces the time for informing to a couple of minutes. It connects the vast majority of people who could see the missing person, and those who are willing to volunteer, and warns people to be vigilant.
