TASER® energy weapons are designed to Protect Life and de-escalate dangerous situations without resorting to lethal force. By one estimate, TASER energy weapons have been used to save more than 275,000 lives from death or serious bodily injury.

TASER 10 is a paradigm shift in less-lethal technology. With a maximum range of 45 feet, TASER 10 creates more time and space to de-escalate and resolve conflicts. It is the first TASER energy weapon to utilize a magazine with 10 reloadable, single-probe cartridges. An overhauled propulsion system allows each probe to travel up to 45 feet, nearly double the range of previous TASER devices. And each cartridge can be individually targeted and launched, allowing users to place probes with precision. These new capabilities significantly increase accuracy and effectiveness, decreasing the likelihood of escalation to lethal force.

TASER 10 will face harsh conditions in the field. For this reason, TASER 10’s materials and finishes are ruggedized. The device’s striking yellow color has been used exclusively on TASER-brand energy weapons for the past 30 years. This coloring helps both users and the public identify the device as a TASER energy weapon, not a lethal firearm. The TASER 10 is weather resistant and provides dust and water ingress protection to International Ingress Protection IPX67. In fact, TASER 10 is capable of being dunked in water and still delivering an effective electrical current to incapacitate a target.

TASER energy weapons use electrical current to temporarily incapacitate subjects. This is the same technology seen in off-the-shelf muscle stimulators used for rehab and muscle therapy.

The manufacturer of TASER 10, Axon Enterprise, recently announced a Moonshot Goal to cut gun-related deaths between police and the public by 50% by 2023. TASER 10 marks the first key innovation developed to help achieve this moonshot.
