Manufacturer: Pernod Ricard China, Shanghai, China

Cognac is generally recommended to be drunk directly or served with a small amount of ice water. After research, the designers found that the easiest and most elegant way of operation is to let the cognac flow through the ice at a steady speed when the customers are enjoying it alone.

Place the ice strainer above the customers can begin to chill the cognac. Although this method is quick and convenient for personal moments, it is too complex for a group of people to enjoy together. The cognac dispenser the designers designed for Martell Chanteloup aims at solving this pain point.
The cognac dispenser works the same way as an ice strainer.

The difference is that the dispenser the designers designed can handle a large amount of cognac simultaneously without losing the elegance of operation and the ritual feeling of enjoying cognac. Place round ice in the ice jug, and the customers can start this ritualistic cognac-serving process effortlessly. After being poured through the glass funnel, the cognac will enter the chiller and begin to cool down.

Then spin the valve knob, and the slightly chilled cognac will pass through the ice filter and go down to the cognac vessel placed on the base. The whole process is simple, convenient, and full of control of the flow velocity. The high arch of the dispenser is influenced by Suger, the architect of Saint-Denis in France.

Suger is the founder and promoter of Gothic architecture. He first used pointed arches, ribbed domes, and stained-glass picture windows in his buildings, which later developed into Gothic architecture that prevailed in the Middle Ages. The visual inspiration for the cognac dispenser comes from the high-pointed arches of French Gothic architecture, a symbol of French luxury and wisdom in the 11th-16th centuries.

This architectural style has not only ornate carvings and elegant outlines but also a strong weight capacity and material affordability at that time.
Therefore, all the buildings with Gothic structures rise from the ground and reach the sky, thus highlighting the power of the builders. In this case, it symbolizes elegance, nobility, and power.

The inside of the arch with a fluted pattern resembles the detail of the Gothic ornaments. The frame is made of cast bronze hand-polished into a glossy finish and plated with chrome; faceted glass components are hand-blown by experienced masters with mold. Finally, the Solution can be easily sterilized and screwed back on in only two steps.
