In 2014, PureWine set out to make wine accessible to those who suffer from headaches and allergic reactions. While other wine purifiers only remove sulfites, PureWine developed a patented filtration system which removes both sulfites and histamines - the causes of most adverse reactions - without affecting the flavor of the wine.

Following the success of their initial products, PureWine approached our team desiring to design a reusable, pod-based filtration device. The result was The Phoenix, an aerator and filter in one. The Phoenix mounts securely to the top of the bottle with a co-molded elastomer seal, filtering and aerating wine as it is passes through the pod.

It quickly disassembles for easy cleaning and pod replacement. The filter pod is made from a biodegradable resin. While nearly all aerators on the market share a similar black and silver aesthetic, The Phoenix stands out with its white finish and rose gold trim. The pouring spout’s sharp tip is shaped to minimize drips after pouring. Its diamond profile transitions smoothly to a circular form that matches the wine bottle’s neck
