The Egemen (Sovereign) Cup Set is inspired by the tables and coffee cups foundation of the Turkish Republic Period which makes the user feel likewise they are having a coffee drinking experience in the early Turkish Republican period.

It aims to create an emotional interaction between the user and the product through reminding the user of the early Turkish Republican period while drinking coffee on the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of Turkey.

The cup and saucer have a modern form. The colors and motifs used in the interior of the cups symbolizes the transition from the Ottoman Empire to the Turkish Republic. The transition from of the plain body of ornate plate form symbolizes the transition to the modernization process of the foundation of the Republic of Turkey.

The story takes inspiration, the cup has been designed to create the perception of a collector's item with maximum effect, both during usage and exhibition period. The inside of one cup is designed in blue and the other one is red. It reflects the modernity in the Republican Period design as a form. Although it is a modern, simple, minimal design language as it is completely white on the outside, it emphasizes the transition by making a reference to the Ottoman Period, together with the colors and embroideries used on the inside of the cup.

Based on Atatürk's words "Sovereignty belongs to the nation unconditionally."
