VELIS is Ariston’s last generation range of flat electric storage water heater. With this third VELIS edition, Ariston refreshes the masterpiece of water heating re-designed by Umberto Palermo with a new modern design and new technological content. New textures, materials and very useful friendly interfaces for a new hot water experience in a premium design.

Velis is a smart and multi-position flat electric storage water heater. Thanks to its double tank technology, it delivers quickly the required amount of hot water by the end user. With Wifi Version, VELIS LUX is fully connected to your smartphone via a mobile app. It allows the end-user to perfectly adjust its hot water needs using different functionsandreceive a real-time push notification from the App in case of a system failure

Challenge faced:
VELIS is part of the third generation of VELIS range platform. Developing such a range was an industrial challenge for the company, considering the flat shape of the product, very different from regular round shaped models our plants are used to manufacture. With the brand new premium aesthetic developed for this third generation, we faced many challenges in order to reach a perfect alignment of the components needed to improve flatness perception and enrich the overall aesthetic. Then, the new digital user interface is also 100% flat touch and integrated within the bottom part. Finally, finding the perfect color finishing for the different color versions was really challenging, especially with a mat effect.

Unique design:
VELIS is only 27 cm deep and 51 cm wide, which allows it to be installed in very narrow installations. Its dimensions and shape brings huge space-saving compared to a regular round electric storage water heater. Moreover, its exclusive color finishing and LED control board bring a premium aspect to the product that can be an integrated part of your home/bathroom. Finally, it can be installed either vertically or horizontally, so you can choose to have it visible (in your bathroom, on top of a door, in your kitchen) or to hide it if you prefer (in a closet, in a false-ceiling). VELIS is available in different combinations on colors to perfect fit every space

User experience:
We implemented many customer-oriented functions in order to help the end-user to be able to modify the settings on his own in the easiest way possible, with Wi-Fi model all of them manageable from a distance through the app. Indeed, the hot water needs can vary many times during the year. First of all, VELIS allows a manual temperature setting from 40 to 80°C to the nearest degree. On TOP Wi-Fi version you can see the current level of hot water inside the tank. All of these functions are available through a user-friendly blue LED control panel. With VELIS WIFI, all these functions are available through the app.

Benefit to client:
With its enameled heating element, VELIS is completely silent even during heating-up periods. This kind of heating element is highly resistant to limescale so its lifetime is considerable, allowing the product to have an extended longevity. Moreover, in case of issues, the LED control panel will show directly the dedicated the error code, allowing the end-user to warn its installer and save considerable time in case of needed intervention. Finally, VELIS is equipped with the innovative ECO EVO function, an auto-learning software that memorizes your habits to deliver hot water only when you need it, allowing up to 14% of energy savings on your electric bill.
