The office space design has been ever-evolving, from the days of isolated cubicle spaces to the modern open office and even further with a mix-use of both private and open space design. With the ever-evolving office design, the use of acoustic lighting products has been on the rise integrating two systems, lighting, and acoustics, into one comprehensive form.

The decorative collection of Shaper Sense™ Drum fixtures is designed to invoke the human senses of sight, hearing, and touch. In partnership with industry-leading acoustic and natural materials company, FilzFelt™, the circular edge-lit luminaires are an ensemble of integrated, edge-lit LED lighting fixtures, and circular acoustic surrounds using 100% Wool Design Felt available in 66 felt colors. This combination generates a collection of high artistic appeal, visual performance, and effective quality acoustics.

The simple shape of the Shaper Sense Drum series introduces four styles of product, DUO Drum (2 felt color choices), TRIO Drum (3 felt color choices) plus 20 FilzFelt hanging pattern options, including the new Erwin Hauer designs. The Index Dimensional Drum and Ribsy Drum, are hand-crafted felt designs applied to cork and acoustic substrate, created by the artist group Sub material for FilzFelt and Shaper Sense. These four styles provide over 5.7 million color/texture combinations making it the right fit for any space.

These products help mitigate noise by absorbing and blocking sound, while lowering reverberation in a space. The Drum series ranges between NRC: 0.9 to 1.3 and SAA: 0.96 to 1.32. The Drum is 28 "D x 14 "H. Products available in 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K color temperatures, 80 and 90 CRI options. Efficacies are 100+ lm/W with lumen output of 5000+. Wireless control platforms include Cooper Lighting's WaveLinx connected lighting systems. The luminaires have 89% transmissivity, allowing natural daylight to pass through when turned off.
