Livio AI is the hearing aid that launched a revolution. It is the world’s first Healthable, multi-purpose hearing aid, featuring artificial intelligence and integrated sensors that provide superior sound quality and the ability to track both body and brain health. In February 2020, Starkey built on that technology, with the release of Livio Edge AI.

With a simple double tap of the hearing aid, Edge Mode instantaneously conducts an AI-based analysis of the listening environment and makes immediate adjustments. The result is never-before-possible sound performance, even in the most challenging listening environments, giving the hearing impaired the ability to hear more clearly and comfortably.   

Livio Edge AI also includes the following innovative features and accessories: 

Brain and Body Tracking: 3D motion sensors that detect movement, activity and gestures are integrated into each hearing aid.  When hearing aids are paired with the Thrive Hearing Control app, the devices deliver a Body Score, which tracks daily steps, as well as a Brain Score, which measures hearing aid usage and time spent in conversation and audio streaming. Users can easily view and manage their health information with the Thrive app and receive daily feedback on their progress by viewing their Thrive Wellness Score.  

Fall Alert: Thanks to integrated sensors, Livio Edge AI hearing aids can detect when a hearing aid wearer falls and send alert messages to selected contacts. Fall Alert helps patients maintain their independence, while providing caregivers with welcome peace of mind. 

Thrive Assistant: Thrive Assistant is an app-based feature that provides helpful information to patients about their hearing aids and accessories. This feature is now voice-activated for Livio Edge AI hearing aids. It can also be initiated with a double tap on Livio AI hearing aids or by tapping on a button within the Thrive app using any Livio premium hearing aids. Once the feature is activated, the user can then ask questions, state commands or request a reminder. Thrive Assistant will then find the answer, follow through with the command or set the requested reminder. 

Thrive Care App: Thrive Care provides peace of mind to those the hearing aid wearer chooses to share information with, like caregivers, friends and family, while helping the hearing aid wearer feel confident and independent. With Thrive Care, users can share helpful information like their physical activities, hearing aid usage and social engagement with pre-selected people. Wearers decide what to share from their Thrive Hearing Control app discussed above.  

Translate: This first-to-world integrated feature helps patients easily communicate with people who speak other languages via an easy-to-use translation tool in the Thrive app. There are 27 available languages to choose from. 

Transcribe: Conversations are transcribed on to the user's smartphone screen. They then have the option to save, message, copy or email the transcribed text. 

Self Check: Provides a quick, convenient way for patients to analyze their hearing aid system's performance.
