The project’s goal was to use a glass bottle to produce a sparkling water maker that is safe, stylish, and sustainable. The aim was to combine eco-friendly materials with Nordic simplicity and guarantee safety in closed container carbonation. The Mysoda Glassy uses wood composite, as in Mysoda Woody, and durable aluminium, like in Mysoda Ruby. The wood composite provides a matte, anti-static finish, and sound isolation, making it quieter to use. The inner aluminium parts add durability and safety, while the glass bottle, made from recycled glass, ensures a beautiful and reliable carbonation experience.

With the rising popularity of sparkling water, especially among health-conscious consumers, there’s a growing demand for high-quality, aesthetically pleasing products. Glass bottles enhance the experience of users and reflect a more refined approach. Unlike plastic, glass is 100% recyclable without losing its quality, appealing thus to environmentally conscious individuals. The Mysoda Glassy accommodates both dishwasher-safe 1L glass bottles and 0.5L or 1L plastic bottles, offering flexibility. It provides a stylish, eco-friendly solution, blending sustainability with modern design and performance for sparkling water enthusiasts.

Mysoda Glassy features an automated sliding door that doubles as a safety mechanism during carbonation. Its quick-lock bottle mechanism allows users to open and close the bottle easily with one hand, making it perfect for active users needing quick hydration. The anti-freeze nozzle ensures smooth carbonation of cold water, producing strong, small bubbles for an enhanced drinking experience. The machine is compatible with the most common CO2 cylinders, ensuring its easy replacement at nearby stores.

Mysoda Glassy, like all Mysoda sparkling water makers, proudly bears the “Design from Finland mark.” Its minimalist design reflects the simplicity and functionality of Finnish aesthetics, characterized by clean lines and essential features. Inspired by Finland’s natural landscapes, the design incorporates organic shapes and neutral tones. Unlike most fossil-based plastic devices, Glassy is made of 60% polypropylene (from crude tall oil) and 40% wood fibre, both byproducts of the sawmill and pulp industries. With 36% wood composite and 33% aluminium, it offers a sustainable yet durable alternative to conventional products.
