Hundreds of millions of plastic dental floss containers get discarded annually in the US alone, it is a global plastic epidemic.

The DrTung's non-polluting, plastic-free dental floss dispenser can help change the trend globally. Faced with the challenging request for designing a container able to withstand the moist bathroom environment, exclusively made of non-plastic-based materials, fully biodegradable and vegan-ok, the designers explored different materials and solutions through extensive research, prototyping and testing.

Floss coated with 100% vegetable wax, no petrochemical or animal ingredients, sustainable paper.: every detail was designed and engineered to minimize the environmental impact. The resulting package is entirely made from paperboard, it can be recycled after use or will break down like other paperboard, without harming wildlife or the environment. A fully bio-degradable coating keeps the paperboard safe in the harsh bathroom environment, and the eye-catching package is comfortable to use and slips easily into a pocket or purse, making it convenient to carry or use at home. Great changes always spark from small everyday choices.
