Orison provides expandable plug-and-play energy storage system for the home or office. Consumers plug in an elegant wall panel or tower that stores energy that can be used later at a lower price point. Orison energy storage helps increase renewables while also helping utilities to stabilize and improve efficiency of the power grid. Eric Clifton, Orison founder and CEO, was determined to partner with a design firm to manifest his vision. He teamed up with DDSTUDIO to apply design thinking principles to his product concept for a battery solution that is highly efficient while also aesthetically pleasing. One that could even be put out on display in the living room. The goal was to develop a user-centric product experience that enhances the quality of life and contributes to green living and sustainability in a beautiful way.

The Orison solution is the first home battery system that simply plugs in. No electricians or permits needed for installation. Orison wanted consumers to be able to take advantage of managing their energy consumption without having to disconnect utility power. Orison energy storage combines batteries, power electronics and big data networked together via the Orison Cloud. When aggregated, this stabilizes electricity across the entire grid. It’s a little product with a big mission.
