Haeundae Beach Golf & Resort Concept and Design Direction Recite the wind, look up to the moon, write poems, and evoke joy. Detailed Concept The concept of an old saying, ‘Eum Pung Nong Wol’ – to evoke joy by rhyming along the wind and writing poetry looking at the moon - is infused into the detailed design concept of each buildings that could let them blend in to the surrounding natural environment and maintain harmonized combination within the nature.

Therefore, residential buildings in different ground levels were planned intentionally, buildings at lower level to orient to adjacent natural view, and at higher level to face the ocean view in distance. At the same time, buildings are mainly oriented toward southeast to secure pleasant living environment and natural daylight. 4 building types that well adapts to sloped topography in different levels are planned.

12 pieces of nature opens up like folding screen The concept that connects light, wind, greenery, and water together through different dynamics in each spaces created each floors’ massing three-dimensionally enlarging terrace area, and presented distinctive outdoor terrace view from the entrance making the most of widened terrace area. Relish ‘Pungryu’ – enjoy artistic and great view of nature- on 10 tablelands Embodying design concept inspired by the Album of Mt.Geumgang in the Autumn of the Year of Sinmyo describing scenery of magnificent nature with noblemen enjoying the beautiful natural landscape communing with nature on the tableland, unique terraces are arranged to present blessed view of ocean and natural landscape to all units.

Moreover, indoor courtyard planned in terrace-courtyard-entrance layout enabled nature from outside and inside be pulled into the guests’ circulation. Feeling that becoming one with the nature at 11 Pavilions Pavilions are designed as a place to enjoy ‘Pungryu’, that even natural wind can stay, rest, and enjoy together. Swimming pool is specially designed as where gorgeous view of sky and ocean could be seen simultaneously, and spacious terrace arranged in connection with entrance to directly provide outdoor view enabled to avoid dullness and present sense of openness.
