John Deere 310E ADT 2015-2017

Designers: Design Team, BMW Group Designworks, Newbury Park, California, USA
Manufacturer: John Deere Construction & Forestry, Dubuque, Iowa, USA

The 310E ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) is built for performance in mining, quarrying, road building and other large-scale material-moving applications. John Deere tasked Designworks to collaborate in a complete redesign based on a smaller package for the ADT line. In ADTs, the perception and reality of strength, toughness, and durability are key success attributes. Strong chamfers, color breakup and stout overall proportions secure an active stance and directional assertiveness. The design language used in development of the 310E is incorporated in all John Deere Construction machines, ensuring a consistent look throughout the product family. Manufactured with state-of-the-art tools and techniques at the John Deere facility in Davenport, Iowa, E-Series ADTs are exceptionally reliable and built with safety in mind. Ground-level serviceability, a quieter, pressurized Deere/Designworks-designed cab, and adaptive suspension are all standard features on the truck. Other features include onboard diagnostics, on-the-fly auto-differential lock, tire-pressure monitoring, and onboard payload weighing. All to boost productivity and uptime, while keeping operating costs down.
