Introducing model year 2016 John Deere 9RX Series Tractors
A new addition to the 9 Family Tractors will be available for model year 2016. The 9RX Series 4-Track Tractors will be added to the 9R/9RT Wheel and 2-Track Tractors currently available, providing John Deere with the broadest lineup of high-horsepower tractors in the industry.
9RX Series horsepower
The 9RX Series Tractors for model year 2016 will deliver the proven reliability of John Deere’s 20 years of experience in the rubber-tracked tractor business. The 9RX Series will be available in four models from 470 hp to 620 hp*. These models are powered by the John Deere PowerTech™ PSS 13.5L, and the Cummins® QSX15 engines. The 2016 9RX Series Tractors provide power and torque to maximize performance in the toughest conditions.
John Deere 9RX Series undercarriage system
The 9RX will use the same sealed cartridge mid-roller design that has been proven on John Deere 2-Track tractors for the last 20 years. The 9RX Series undercarriage features a large diameter 1004-mm (39.5-in.) drive sprocket, optimally placed idlers and mid rollers, and a field-tested and proven track tensioning and alignment system. All of these features are designed to deliver optimal traction and power to the ground in challenging field conditions and provide track belt longevity and reliability that is second to none.
John Deere 9RX Series cab suspension system
The John Deere 9RX Series uses a cab suspension system that features a parallel plane four-bar linkage to control cab movement and isolate the cab and the operator from impacts and vibration. The John Deere 9RX cab offers an industry-leading 100-mm (4-in.) of vertical travel (+50-mm/-50-mm [+2-in./-2-in.]) from center.
Camoplast® Duradrive® 3500 and 6500 Series Tracks
The Camoplast Duradrive 3500 and 6500 Series Tracks are the glue sticking the 9RX power to the ground. The 3500 and 6500 Tracks are the positive drive versions of the Durabuilt 4500 and 6500 Series Tracks used on the friction drive undercarriage of the John Deere 9RT Series Tractors. Positive drive tracks use drive lugs that mesh with the drive sprocket to effectively transfer the power through the tracks in high-horsepower, high-torque applications.
These tracks offer optimal performance in puncture resistance, load-bearing performance, and the industry’s largest drive lugs, and largest number of drive lugs – 5.9, engaged to deliver exceptional performance.
The 9RX undercarriages will be on fixed spacing at 2218-mm (87-in.) center belt to center belt, and available in 762- mm (30-in.) and 914-mm (36-in.) widths.
Ballast
The 9RX Series is optimally ballasted from the factory and does not require additional ballast to achieve maximum levels of tractive performance. Therefore, the ballast calculator for the model year 2016 9R/9RT Series Tractors does not include any ballast information for the 9RX Series. The maximum weight of a 9RX Series Tractor is approximately 28,123 kg (62,000 lb).
9 Family Tractor features
In addition to the features previously mentioned specific to the 9RX Series, customers will enjoy all of the following features and benefits found on the 9R Series and 9RT Series Tractors. The 9RX Series Tractors offer the industryleading comfort of John Deere’s CommandView™ III cab, the performance and intuitiveness of the Generation 4 CommandCenter™ controls, and integrated Farm Sight™ technologies for a green-on-green advantage. The tractors feature the smooth shifting and quick response of the e18™ transmission with Efficiency Manager™ feature automating control of the engine to deliver fuel savings without compromising performance.
Optional ActiveCommand Steering (ACS™) reduces steering effort at field speeds while delivering exceptional steering performance and line holding ability at transport speeds. The redesigned hydraulic system available on the 9R/9RT Series Tractors delivers a high-flow hydraulics option that provides an industry-leading 435.3 L (115 gal.) of flow and up to eight rear SCVs for implements with high hydraulic demands.
