In modern workplaces, huddle rooms of 3-10 people are becoming more common and replacing the need for larger 20+ person boardrooms. In these smaller meeting rooms, flexibility is key so we prioritized intuitive functionality that would increase team productivity. With the Hub 700, anyone within reach can start and control meetings easily with democratized controls, keeping the focus on the content that really matters. Emphasizing flexibility, this smart device lets users easily connect and share through HDMI input connections, or wirelessly with the ThinkSmart companion app. Premium speakers and a rich 4-microphone array ensure online meetings sound just as clear as being there in person.

This holistic hardware and software solution redefines the collaboration experience by solving major user pain points, and delivering exceptional functionality on a simple and intuitive user interface. The simplicity of the software’s interface is driven by the hardware’s minimalist form to create an inviting user experience. As soon as users walk into the room, their devices will automatically connect to the Hub via the ThinkSmart app using ultrasonic technology for proximity detection. Built-in IR sensors detect presence and welcome users by displaying the room’s calendar and availability, while the design enables a simple 1-click start to meetings.

Knowing that no two users conduct meetings the same way, we prioritized flexibility as a core principle, allowing users to schedule meetings and share content in multiple ways. An important component to the design was taking complex online meeting platforms and integrating them into a simple custom interface, creating a consistent experience across various meeting solutions. This consistent experience across multiple platforms is integral to the ease of use and overall usability of the product. The color palette both celebrates the Think brand and considers the accessibility of our users while special attention was given to languages and cultural differences.

Additional features such as creating instant meetings, simultaneous sharing of multiple content, and extending meetings truly elevates this solution amongst its competition. Each ThinkSmart Hub 700 is managed through a cloud-based portal which provides custom configurations and management from a single location. IT admins can now manage rooms across the world from their desk and with intelligent built-in telemetry, have the power to gain important room utilization insights they have never had before.

With the ever-changing workspace and a more global approach to business, the Hub 700 modernizes the typical meeting room and empowers users to embrace communication through beautiful and purposeful design.
