Fragment represents a new chapter in rental homes, and is the result of collaboration between Trigema Development, Qarta Architecture Studio, and artist David Černý. This means that from the outset, this original construction has been formed as a symbiosis between architecture, art, and residential development.
Openness and transparency are fundamental to the building's design. The architectural form chosen of two arms converging into a single block is a response to the trapezoidal shape of the land and the character of the surrounding buildings. Fragment embodies the intersection of two worlds: the contemporary world and tradition. A defining moment is thus its contact with the historical Invalidovna building, to which the David Černý statues respond. The building is supported by a total of four sculptures - a hand, a leg, a palm, and a woman - which symbolize the human community and our ability to support each other.
The Fragment apartment building provides 140 fully furnished apartments from studios to generous maisonettes with their own roof terraces. All apartments feature carefully planned layouts with a focus on high quality, design, and function. All apartments feature the Smart Home Loxone system, through which you can control your home through a single panel and app. Fragment is an energy-efficient modern building that exploits cutting-edge technologies. Its apartments are heated and cooled using geothermal heat pumps, and it makes use of green roofs and rainwater retention.
