As PepsiCo’s first-ever chief design officer, Mauro Porcini, who is responsible for leading innovation by design across the company’s food and beverage portfolio, extending from physical to virtual expressions of the brands, including product, packaging, events, retail activation, architecture, and digital media, has been named as this year’s laureate for The American Prize for Design.

The 61-year-old Trahan is an architect based in New Orleans. He becomes the 10th Laureate of the American Prize for Architecture.
European Prize for Architecture 2021
The Dutch architecture office, Mecanoo is presented this year with what is known internationally as Europe’s Highest Award for Architecture by The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design at a Gala Dinner Award Ceremony at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece on September 10.
