The Datacube is located in the vicinity of an industrial area near the Swiss town of Basel.

By today’s standards, the Quickline datacenter is the most advanced data storage center in Switzerland.

The building houses servers and data storage devices for corporate IT and cloud computing applications. It provides high-quality data storage facilities and multi-level security systems while achieving exemplary energy efficiency.

Thanks to its shiny monolithic appearance, the data center reflects the company’s capacity for innovation and technical prowess.

The façade is entirely clad with trapezoidal stainless steel sections, which prevent any intrusive views from the outside world.

The sequence of perforated and plain sheets creates a strong vertical rhythm that enlivens the bold and impenetrable building.

The windows, which are set behind the perforated steel sheets, filter the direct sunlight entering the building.

Though not visible from outside, the center’s interior is organized on three levels and topped by a technical floor.

On the ground floor, office premises complete the technical facilities. The considerable volume offers a highly flexible ground-plan layout and generous space for the building technology.
