The proposal starts from the change of use of the existing building, its owners’ home since its construction, to an events space, exhausting the permitted development potential.

The principle of respect and integration has been present throughout the design process. Thus, the extension is articulated in non-mimetic language with what preexisted, on a single floor at ground level and in a secondary position, so as not to compete with what is reformed, glazing three of its sides to visually incorporate the garden, a unique piece of the project, maintaining its traces, pruning, and replacing plants and trees.

The new pavilion has the will to reach the generic, the universal, but without forgetting the constraints of the place. The basement where the complex facilities are housed merges with the earth, while the main hall emerges elevated on a podium that integrates the new with what is preserved.
