The project covers the idle Küçük Çaltıcak Public Beach and Recreation area, located in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya, with an area of approximately 200,000 square meters. The Mediterranean geography, which always keeps its tourism focus potential high with its nature and different beaches, is distinguished from other tourism regions with its high annual temperature average of 18 degrees.
The transformation project started with a new functionalization strategy; has been discussed in order to emphasize the characteristic features of the area. Küçük Çaltıcak Public Beach and Recreation Area project; sustainable solutions were sought, which was defined as a recreation center to be offered to the public, accompanying the natural texture. A holistic site plan was created by proposing daily camping and caravan parking areas within the recreation area.
Indoor spaces shaped on wooden plinths partially above ground level are covered with natural wooden eaves. Placed parallel to the sea within the building approach boundary, the spatial array creates a permeable and semi-open pattern.
